![]() As a young Italian designer from Milan, Italy, Milo Migliavacca arrived in Bali in 1973, which marked for him the opening of a creative door to a world of inspiration, uniting his skills and appreciation of European design with the enchantment of the unknown, refined potential skills of the Balinese in “the Island of the Gods.” Years thereafter, Milo pioneered and established the industry of producing fashion in Indonesia, which had never existed previously. Milo’s aim was to make women look as beautiful as Bali. He wove his impressions inspired by Balinese handicrafts into developing his signature rayon-jersey, silk-jersey, appliqué embroidery, and knit. His creative genius earned him the title “the Original Price of Batik Couture.” Milo had jumpstarted a new era for Bali with his exhilarating designs, redefining women with a liberating freedom of sexy, free-flowing lines, creating silhouettes that show the natural curves of the body, to be displayed worldwide.
